A local told me the quality of silt makes the water appear baby blue. During rains or gales, when the water is disturbed, the periods of blue (increased blue-idity) follow.

• The Outpost Restaurant and Bar.

• The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

• Little and Big Beehive hikes.

• Moraine Lake.

Be careful of:

• Bear sightings maybe every two weeks.

• Bring a lot of water and bear spray on hikes.

• A few deaths due to landslides, rockfalls, and actual falls every year.
